ABOUT HOLOGRAM

Hologram Electronics is a boutique audio technology company based in Knoxville, TN. We design and manufacture effects processors that blur the lines between effect and instrument. Our products are used by musicians worldwide and are known for their distinctive sound design and thoughtful interface. We are a small team of creatives, musicians, engineers, and technicians and we work as a tight-knit unit that relies on collaboration and experimentation to create innovative products. ABOUT THE ROLE

We're growing our creative team.

We're looking to expand our team with someone who can help us make great audio and video content around our pedals.

We're looking for a creative person who can produce a project from concept to final cut, someone who can write a track, record audio & shoot video, and edit the whole thing. Here's what that involves:

Responsibilities

  • Develop audio DSP algorithms for embedded platforms (effects, synthesis, audio processing)

  • Contribute to platform architecture and toolchain development for DSP hardware

  • Write production-quality embedded C/C++ code

  • Collaborate on product design decisions, balancing technical constraints with creative goals

  • Test, debug, and optimize code for real-time performance on resource-constrained hardware

Required SKILLS

  • Audio Engineering: recording, mixing, sound design, familiarity around a session

  • Musician / Performer: you play instruments, use effect pedals, and understand musical workflows and technology

  • Video Production: shooting, lighting, directing, ability to plan and run a production

  • Video Editing: experience preparing video for a variety of platforms

BONUS SKILLS

  • Product Demos: experience creating video content that shows what a product does and how it sounds

  • Short-Form Content: creating engaging clips for social media and ads

  • Content Strategy: planning what to make, when to release it, and why it matters

  • Educational Content: a skill for teaching concepts and breaking down how things work

  • Advertising: experience creating and running ad campaigns

  • Artist Relations: building and maintaining relationships with artists who use our gear

LOCATION

Hologram is a small team based in Knoxville, Tennessee. We design, build, ship, support our products, and create all of our promotional content right here from our shop. This is an in-person position. If this sounds like the sort of work you enjoy, we'd love to hear from you.
